NYPD Exam 8314

Just took and passed exam 8314-0038 back on Nov. 20th. When would expect to get a response and academy? Also, anyone know how it works in terms of your exam score, but took the test most recently; i.e. do they just look at the total pool of applicants off all the tests and take the highest scores. I took 8314...got a 95 without my residency credit and didn't take the veterans credit. I hope to hear something from them soon, or from the PA state police, as I am almost done with PA's hiring process.

Yeah, I got a 93%, which doesn't include residency credit. I didn't claim the veterans points, thought I would save them. Any thoughts on when we might get started in the process. Also any insight to the last part of my question regarding the pool of candidates and which ones they take.

The way the civil service system works is simple. You take test number 8000 and are list number 30. I take test 8001 and I am list number 1. You are still before me because your list is before mine. Hope that helps you.

Good luck on seeing an academy before 2010. The January 2009 class was cut out completely and they are talking about cutting the July class in half. I am willing to bet that there are easily 700 people in front of you looking to get on the job.
