The MTA just broke ground on a new station in Central Islip. Although its not supposed to be operational until 2010, maybe there will be some hope that they will actually hire more officers. Its supposed to be a state of the art facility with space for a motorpool and k9 training.

I cant wait to see what that facility is going to look like when it's done. They need to let us know whats on the plans as far as hiring more officers does anyone have and idea how many officers they plan on hiring?

Looks similar to the Trooper Barracks near SCCC Brentwood, nice.

I was just about to say that but it's also much bigger then the Brentwood Barracks. Looks much nicer then any of the SCPD or Suffolk Sheriff facilities I have seen, seems like alot of the State Police barracks favor the "rustic" sort of look, the one in Valley Stream also looks like this.

It would be nice to see the MTA Police increase their presence out here as well.
