How many people waiting for clearance from NYPD psych services.

Hello everyone,actually this is my first time posting a thread so any mistake just ignore them .well Im a former nypd recruit from 07 class who resigned because I failed the first trimester so I went for restoration back in summer 07and did almost all the process again but I was placed in psych review and then I applied for exam 6093 and did all over the process AGAIN from day 1 which sucks but whatever this is the job I want,this january I got the call to start the P.A then the day after I got called I recived another call telling me NOT TO REPORT TO P.A and thats when it really sucks..lol..so I called apd and also my B.I and nobody knew anything until I found out that I was told not to report because the apd inspector found out that I was on review from a previous exam and then one month later I got a call from psych services asking me to go for a second interview, I went there and everything was clarified ,oh and they cleared me for the previous exam that I took in 06,my B.I tried to contact the person who interviwed me but she did not answer back and to this date I'm still in REVIEW, just waiting for miracle to happen,but I'm positive everyday just waiting for their final response,anybody riding the same boat share your comments about the great psych department ,feel free to pm me..thanks for your time.

why did they place you on review in the first place?

Im on psych review since june 08. I doubt anything will be cleared anytime soon. I got called in for a second interview back in october before bloomf*** yammed the class of 09, still no results back from it. I really think most of the investigative processes have come to a hault. One of my buddies who resigned from the job for a better paying job said that because of the hiring freezes and what not. The people that run the Police Academy get put back to duty to cover the lack of police on streets since its cancelled. Im assuming most of APD same thing happens to?

Anyways wont make any difference. In 3 days ago newspaper good ol' Mikey boy postponed the fire academy for january 09 a month before! and in the article it calls for even more major cuts but thats how he is kicking off the year. I wouldn't be surprised if july 09 is cancelled as well. Sucks cause i want this job really badly like the rest of you guys on the forum. I might just have to pick up a second job.

when you did the process for the 6093 you weren't placed back on psych review? Weird....

wasup guys..why did they place you on review in the first place? honestly I dont even know ,I think that I sound to good to be true on the day of my interview,lol because it's true I didnt have a fight in H.S or anything like I dont even had a parking ticket in others words I'm 100 % clear,no drugs,no dwi,ANYTHING!!!..lol...and that's why it sucks..

no,I was placed on review for exam 6010 but that was after I resigned from P.A and then went to restoration so thats when I was placed on review,so when I took 6093 and I have to re do the whole process all over again i was 4q so when I got the call saying not to report I found out that they cleared me for 6010,I dont even know what da hell happend there ,but they put me on review for 6093..Im telling you guys my case is a mess!!lol but hopefully everything its gonna work out .take care guys and happy xmas!!..

I was placed on psych review since June 2008 for missing papers. Called psych services so many times and left messages for my psychologist and never got a called back. My BI coundn't/wouldn't help me. So I don't know what to do about what papers I'm missing. I'm exam 7011 and out-of-state applicant. I haven't called since then when I found out about the Jan 09 class was cancelled.

Sounds like you should go to APD in person and have a sitdown with either your BI or a "boss" so that you can explain the time lines. Perhaps someone thinks you were trying to slide by and if you explain your renewed interest in NYPD it may clear up the hold.

Your message is a little unclear, are you calling NYPD psch services with no reply ? ....or calling your own Psych with no reply.
If you revealed Psych care at any time in your past, NYPD wants paperwork from YOUR Psych, which details who what when where why results long term prognosis etc.
Stop calling your Psch guy and GO to his/her office and get the paperwork that NYPD is requesting. Make copies and drop off the paperwork IN PERSON....or.... certified return request US Mail IF your BI says that is OK...then call the BI later to make sure the paperwork got there.

Are you prior military with overseas war zone assignments ?

I recall reading about some ex-military that were getting/having problems with some of the Psych interviewers about applicants military experiences. Note this I read was probably a year of so ago and will necessitate you maybe reading all the posts from the 2008 and 2009 big threads here and also the NYPD recruit site as well to see what the outcome of those problems with some interviewers.

Good luck, keep phoning your BI, make sure he/she is still assigned to the unit, if not go up the ladder for information.
