Prospective applicants must meet the following criteria: • Must be between the ages of 21 and 35 years of age. • Must be a United States Citizen. • Must be a High School Graduate or its equivalent. • Must present a certified copy of a Birth Certificate and evidence of military record if applicable. • Must pass all exams given by the Fire and Police Commission. • Must obtain an EMT-B certification within 18 months of employment. Applications are available February 1, 2003 through February 28, 2003 at the Village of Berkeley, Village Hall, 5819 Electric Avenue, Berkeley, Illinois 60163 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Completed applications are to be returned to the Berkeley Village Hall NO LATER THAN MARCH 7, 2003 AT 4:30 p.m. No exceptions. A $25.00 non-refundable application fee will be charged upon receiving an application. All applications are subject to the rules and regulations of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of Berkeley, which is an equal opportunity employer.
