Salary: $38,792 to $56,049 The Village of Barrington Hills is Accepting Applications for the Position of Police Officer BASIC
QUALIFICATIONS: * At least 21 years of age. * A citizen of the United States. * Currently employed as a FULL-TIME police
officer for a minimum of the past two years with the same department. NO EXCEPTIONS * Minimum of 60 credit hours from an
accredited college or university, or possess an Associates Degree in any field. * Possess a valid driver's license. * Have at
least 20/70 vision correctable to 20/20 * Physically able to perform duties (Power Test). * No felony convictions or
convictions for certain misdemeanor violations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Full service Municipal Policing * Enforcement
of State and Local Laws * Prepare written reports on assigned tasks and attend court and testify when necessary. * Community
Policing, assist and render aid to citizens, conduct building checks and investigate suspicious persons, vehicles, noises, etc. *
Uniform Patrol, traffic control, motor vehicle assists and traffic crash investigations. BENEFITS: * STARTING SALARY of
$38,792.00, with the opportunity to earn $42,244.00 after 6 months and $56,049.00 after 4 years. * Paid medical/life
insurance * Uniform, firearm, Soft-armor and leather equipment issued * Two retirement plans [IMRF and Deferred
