I am going to be applying for the California Highway Patrol and was wondering if anyone out there has any information or can answer some questions for me? If you have any information on LE let me know. Thanks

Sure, what would you like to know? You sure chose a competitive agency. If you do not have prior LE experience or military, I would suggest you get some before applying. The dept can afford to hire the very best, and frequently do. I know of Marines, candidates with masters degrees, ex-SP troopers etc who have all been turned down by CHP for various reasons. Their academy is TOUGH. If you mke it through you will likely be posted to L.A or Oakland. The money is great, the retirement package is awesome.
