HCSO Detention Deputy S.O.T "BOOT CAMP"

Now that HCSO is running SOT for Both LEO and Detention what are some of your thoughts on this? From what I know this is the ONLY agency in the entire state to have this program. Orange County is considering this as well. Do you think this is good, bad, unnecessary? At least 7 to 8 recruits drop out during this phase from the initial 27 to 30 that start. It would be great to hear from someone that has gone through this as well. :confused:

Guess no one has any thoughts on this? It would seem this is a good topic since other departments are looking at doing this as well.

My good friend went through it. Dont be fooled by the fact that it is only 2 weeks long. It is just as intense as marine corps boot camp and it is not uncommon to lose 1/3 of the class by the end of the 2 weeks.
