Testing January 6, 2002, for an academy to begin July 2002.
Successful applicants will receive competitive wages & benefits, including starting salary of $30,305, plus clothing allowance and paid single health insurance.
Must be a U.S. citizen; 21 years of age at the time of commission; possess 60 semester hours from an accredited college or 2 yrs full-time exp as a civilian or military police officer with arrest powers or possess a Missouri Class A or B certification plus two years reserve or part-time law enforcement experience or possess 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university plus 3 years of experience as a Springfield Police Cadet; no criminal record; excellent physical condition; no visible tattoos; other standards apply.
