Good morning all,

I just completed my out of state testing, my written, oral & poly, all went well, the polygraph was scary, the deputy who administered it was great. I think he calmed me down enough to get thru it. I have to say between the oral interview and the poly, if I'm ever asked again if i have ever had sex with animals i'm gonna flip out. Why is this question asked so often? I gather there must be some freaks out there who have gone down this road, and these people want to be Deputy's ? My BI was really good, I am a little nervous about my financial background, I have about 3 to 5 items that need to be cleaned up, I told the BI that these issues are being addressed by my attorney and that they would be cleared off my credit report immediately. I really hope this doesn't DQ me, any insight on how they view and handle this type of situation ?

The questions on the Oral & with the BI were very similar, I think this is done on purpose to get consistency on answers. Their were a bunch of questions on any involvement with underage relationships, pornography ect...

It seems as if you are along in the process, I gather by your info I will be going back out for the rest of the process, I didn't know I would have a second interview? what is the Coopers test, and you have to go on a ride along? I guess i can assume I will not potentially make the March academy? If and when your done with all this, than what?

Since you are out of state are they consolidating your testing process? The Coopers test is a physical abilities test. What kind of financial problems do you have? You can PM me, I'm a deputy.

The second interview is the actual interview with you BI. Then you take the poly, then the PAT(coopers). You will be required to take a jail tour and a ride along. My BI says if I make it through I could potentially make it to the March academy assuming I'm selected. In other words, I'll be done with everything before march.

I have 3 CC accounts that were business accounts from my old business I owned, they are presently being handled by my attorney. I told my BI that I could get these closed and settled asap. I also discovered a couple of stupid outstanding issues that some I wasn't aware of and some I ignored due to financial situation ie..ER bill, no insurance, my BI said that I needed to provide docs on settlement. I definitely can resolve these issues but i just hope that this doesn't DQ me. I gather other BI's view my file also? how much weight does this have in the process? I feel somewhat o.k that I got thru the oral with my BI with these issues out in the open. Wouldn't this DQ'd me at that point?

I dont' know if you would have been DQ'd in that interview unless it was something just insane. My BI told me that it wasn't her job to DQ me, but that her Sargent would have the honor when she is finished with my "case".
As for the credit thing, the one and only thing I have is a 30 day late on a car loan, that I co- signed for my sister. (It's her car, she paid the load late) My BI said that it was going to raise some flags. Going in I didn't think it was going to be a big deal because it was my sisters loan. But I guess it is.
