I deal with them quite frequently on a daily basis. I'll ask some of the newer guys how the timeline is. Other than that, it seems like a great gig, good pay, they recently got a raise and are due for another one soon. They are always trying to recruit you when you go to book or pick up.
Plenty of OT as well from what I hear. You can also apply for the transportation side of the house once you get some years on.

You might want to post in the big house forum on this site if you haven't already done so, there are a lot of santa clara detention guys there with good information.
I haven't heard anything negative about them, only positive.

Thanks for the info.
I was wondering if they do lateral transfers? I am currently in the Jail in the foothills with three years exp. Do they just hire recruits or do they do the lateral transfer thing too?
Thanks again

No lateral transfers, you have to go to their 10 week academy.
