I'm sorry I meant a wooden wall. How would I start? what size wood would I need? How do I make a base?

Thank you for your ideas!:) I didn't even think of making a brick wall.

I put up a privacy fence this last summer. You'll need to get 4 x 4 posts and fence panels to start with along with cement to pour the footings for the posts. The type of panels you can get are what they call "dog eared" , "stockade" and a few others. Pm me if you have any ?'s maybe I can help.

Good luck!

Do you mean a solid wood wall like a privacy fence? If so go to your local building supply place and buy a section of 6 foot privacy fence. Also get a couple of 12ft pressure treated 4*4's and some quick set cement.

Simply dig a couple of holes, set the posts (4*4) in the concrete and let harden. Then attach the fence panel to the posts.
The "wall" will not move.

Mine holds up to alot of SAR dog training!:D

I'm actually getting ready to build one too. I have it planned out in my head.

Take 8' pieces of 4x4 timber and sink them 2' into the ground, 8' apart. Tie in a couple of pieces of 2x4 for stability, and then screw plywood up on one side. Get a 6'x8' chainlink dog kennel wall and screw it up on the other side. This way, you have a solid wall on one side, and chainlink on the other.

It sounds good in my own mind anyway. :)

Anyone that wants it, send me a PM with your email address. The wall does not required digging post holes - it's all above ground. It is 2 sided - wood on one, chain link on the other.

The booklet is actually the AZ POST POPAT manual. Instructions are included for also HOW to make it over the wall for those that need them.

$1000.00????? I could get it professionally done for less than that!!! In no way am I meaning this to be racist, but I thought the reason for hiring illegal immigrants was for cheap labor?

Sullivan you are silly.

You wouldn't just have a wall, but your entire yard fenced in! You can build a free standing one.

I can explain further if interested.

LOL silly goose. My fiancé and I always thought that our neighbors hired Mexicans to do their yard work. Then we realized our neighbors ARE Mexican, and do their own yard work! We weren’t trying to stereotype, but we live in a mostly white neighborhood and we were surprised by them living across the street. They really keep to themselves, I have tried being friendly with them, but they are really quiet.

No No No, it is a hoop you need to build, you will have to jump through more of them, then you will over fences.:D

You may want to spend a little extra money and build a gate right next to the wall. Have your fiance lock or unlock the gate periodically w/o telling you. That way you can train yourself to always check the gate before you vault yourself over the wall. Who knows, it may be unlocked! :D

I can post in italics, but where the heck do I find the tongue in cheek button? ;)

LOL! Do officers typically jump over gates with out checking to see if they are unlocked to save time?:p

Go back a little bit earlier. You'd be gorgeous dressed as a "flapper" next Halloween. You've just got that kind of face...
