I noticed that you cannot have a misdemeanor conviction for 3 years to be on with the Honolulu police department. What if you had a misdemeanor ticket but you were never convicted of it because it was dropped and you had it expunged from your record. Would that also qualify as a conviction and would I have to sit out 3 years?

If you had a misdemeanor ticket that was never prosecuted, was dropped and expunged, you do not have a conviction on your record for that offense. The key word is CONVICTION!!!

If it was expunged will it cause a problem?
