i have a chain tattoo around my left bicep/tricep. The tat is not visible if i wear a short sleeve shirt. I'm just wondering if that will be a problem with LE agencies in SoCal.

i'm only speaking from rso perspective. from what the B.I. was telling me today he said "as long as it doesn't show we do not have any problems. if it does show then long sleeves are required"

As long as the ink isnt visible while wearing the short sleeve shirt, you are ok.....if not, get used to wearing long sleeve shirts all year round.....The ink wont stop you from getting hired at all.....

They should DQ you for having a band tattoo on your arm, but I'm sure it won't be a problem.

Don't stress about it at all. I have a full sleeve and two on my neck and no one has said anything to me at all. They just say you will wear long sleeves at all times.
That's experience from CHP, LASD, and both my local Dept.

We have a pretty lenient policy, pretty much allowed above the elbow, visible or not.
