What are cops around the world issue? Like what police use in China, England, French...etc. Is there any website that have this kind of information? I hear Japan police were using New Numbo(spell check?) which was a s&w chief special clone, but I hear that years ago. Do they still issue that? I know in US it depend on department to department (mostly glock, sig) just wondering if there is any way to look it up.

I don't know of a website that actively tracks handgun manufacturer usage worldwide, but I'll see if these links help a tad.

http://world.guns.ru/

I use this a lot as just a general background on any gun that I see that I don't recognize or don't know anything about. It typically says if said gun is in use by some sort of police unit.

http://worldinventory.googlepages.com/

This website attempts to keep track of duty weapons of police and federal units around the USA. It usually has the history of agencies as well. I'm not entirely sure how accurate it is, but as far as the federal agencies go it's pretty darn accurate.

check Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org) Search on a popular gun model or maker and there are usually details at the bottom on who deploys them.

Yeah, it didn't have quite the correct information for mine either. It had part of the list of duty weapons, but not all of it. Also, we aren't "issued" them as it cites. We buy our own.
