POLICE OFFICER The City of Delaware, county seat of Delaware County, is seeking qualified candidates for Police Officer to establish an eligibility list for a community of approximately 28,500 people located in Central Ohio, just 21 miles north of Columbus. It is a growing and progressive community. The police department consists of 56 full-time employees of which 40 are sworn officers. Officers may have duties of patrol, school resources, tactical unit, community relations, bike patrol, detective unit and more. Starting salary range is $37,148.80 to $46,488.00. The written examination date is Saturday, November 16th. Physical Fitness testing will be on Friday, November 22nd. Oral Interviews and B-PAD testing will be conducted the December 5-6, 2002.
