Question about RSO process

I am new on this board and had a couple of questions that hopefully someone can help me with. I started the application process for Deputy back in March 08. I have completed and passed everything, written test, PT, background, polygraph, psych, medical, etc. Only thing left, as far as I know is the home visit. First question....is there a second physical agility test? Second question.... BI gave me a verbal that I will be in Dec. Academy and said he would call me when it gets close and do the home visit just before then. I haven't heard a thing for several weeks and I am only hoping that my name is down for the Dec. Academy. I will need to give my employer notice so I am wondering, should I be getting something official from HR about the December Academy or is there anyplace I can call to find out if I am on the list? Also will the BI get my final approval before the home visit or does it need to be done first? Thanks

You will recieve an official call from HR 2-4 weeks before the academy start date. Sometimes there is a 2nd physical, but it is a 1.5 mile run, pushups, situps only just to see where you stand before starting an academy. They may not do them depending on available staffing.

They are not doing the second physical, do to the construction in the academy area. I got the offical word and paperwork a couple of weeks ago from my B.I.. I geuss that could be good news for some?
