Being a State employee I have the day off but I think I'm going to put myself 10-8 and do some arson patrol. The media is doing a good job trying to convince the fire-bugs that today would be a good day to do their thing.
A couple along the 14 earlier were no accident. Luckily they didn't go.

1/2 my already-depleted station is out there in the Valley. I'm left behind to shag calls if necessary....I'd take that over the fire duty any day. But I have my shift out watching the hillsides just in case....

I felt good seeing several Forest Service units and rural county engines doing the same this afternoon.

There were quite a few last year along the 14 that were suspected arson, perhaps its the same idiot back at work.
