SD Sheriff Test Result Question

I took the first test for the SD Sheriff department a few weeks back and just got my results back. I'm just curious about one of the scores listed. I have my final score and a T-score. Can someone explain what the T-score is? Just curious and can't find any info on it.

Hi. You'll learn more if you go to the POST web site. But as I understand it, the average score is 50, and most people will be within 10 digits, either plus or minus, of 50. So over 60 is a great score, and under 40 is horrible. Every department has its own minimum. The highest I've seen required is a 55. The lowest, a 42. The highest score possible is something like 74 or 74. Before I read up on it, I thought I had received a D! ;)
