POLICE OFFICER EXAMINATION Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Orientation Session February 1, 2003 at 9:00 AM Dundee-Crown High School Auditorium, 1 Charger Country Drive Carpentersville is the 3rd largest municipality in Kane County. The current estimated population is 32,000, but due to recent land annexations and rapid development, that number continues to grow. CPD currently employs 60 sworn officers. We are seeking qualified applicants who are committed to Community Oriented Policing. Application Information • Applications may be obtained beginning January 22nd at the police department or on the day of orientation. • Completed applications must be turned in to the Carpentersville Police Department by Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at 12:00 PM. Candidates must be 21 years old at time of appointment. Minimum Requirements • Age 21-35 at list posting, unless prior police service per Illinois Compiled Statutes • Valid Illinois Driver’s License • High School Diploma or equivalent • Weight proportional to height • Vision 20/200 correctable to 20/40 Must pass written, oral, physical agility, medical, polygraph and psychological examinations. Required Documentation (to be Submitted With Application) • HS School Diploma • College Transcripts • Military Discharge (DD - 214) • Optometrist Statement • Physical Agility Waiver/Physician Statement • Photocopy of Valid Drivers License Testing Information Physical Agility and written examination scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2003 beginning at 8:00 AM and concluding approximately 3:00 PM. All testing held at Dundee-Crown High School Additional Information All applications submitted and all examination papers will become the property of the Carpentersville Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.
