I failed the oral psych. Does anyone who has had to appeal a psych and been successful have the name and number of a doctor who could be used for the appeal? Please let me know on here or via PM. Thanks.

LASD but anyone would be good at this point, if that appeal was successful. The company I might use costs almost 2k. If I can avoid that but have a quality appeal, I'll take it.

Dang. That's what I heard. Can you believe that? That's why I'm trying to find other docs that know what they are doing.

Well, I knew it was pricey but seems a lot to spend to get an appeal that may not even be approved.

Male. I know it's a long shot but I am looking to get it done and prove that doc WRONG!

Does LASD give you a list of approved Psych Docs? I'm waiting to appeal mine through RSO and have been forwarded a list of 8. One member threw out the name Dr. Blum. Said he had good reviews. He is on the RSO list. He is in Los Alamitos, dont have a correct phone #, sorry. Some people have used The Counseling Team in San Bernardino (around $375), 2k is way too high, I would push 1k max. Good Luck.

What exactly does the psych interview entail?

Psych Oral/Interview. Why do you want to be a police officer? What qualifies you to be one? How is your family life? etc., etc. Usually its after your written psych test, and they ask you questions about how you scored or how you answered certain questions.
I believe that the "interview" encompasses your scores on the written tests. You did not necessarily "fail" the interview.
