Just had a tornado pass over my place here in Tulsa! The front was moving along 71st street and passing Yale, which is cose in to me and my wife; no hail, heavy rains then the rotation could be seen very clear. It touched down and lifted up several times as it moved off to the East.

I missed death by this much . and didn't cry or nothin' :D

Congratulations.

I had one bounce a 92 year old oak tree off of my house...cost several thousand to repair. I HATE tornados.

Another one blew my deck furniture all over the place , but didnt break my glass table. It rippped the tops out of several of my big oak trees and deposited branches about 2 feet deep into the earth at a perfect 45 degree angel for about 70 yards, dangdest thing I ever saw.

One moring I awoke to what sounded like a freight train going over my house. Like a dummy, I watched it go over while standing in front of a plate glass screen door in my underware and then it occurred to me what a fool I was. The whole time span was probably 6 or 7 seconds then it was gone. It hit a chicken house behind me and scattered it and about 10,000 chickens all over the county. I still have pieces of styrofoam insulation stuck in my trees from that one. Chicken feathers were everywhere. A county over, a homeowner reported to the sherrif dept. that a tornado had deposited several dozen dead chcikens that looked like they had been plucked in his front yard.

Tornados can do some wierd things.

Im glad you survived. Some people dont.

Did I tell you that I HATE tornadoes ?

Glad to see you are still with us Jim! I'll take the Kaliphornia earthquakes any day to a tornado.

The hell of it is that almost ANYWERE is "tornado country" any more, just as almost anywhere is "earthquake country."
