Sorry about the posts but I have to ask is it typical for RSO BI's to take over 2 months to call you? I have read previous posts where BI's have called their people back in just a few weeks and it seems that not too many have waited this long. I also remember during the background orientation the correctional deputy stated that if you dont hear anything in 2-4 weeks call HR. I turned in my PHS packet on 9/01 and still have heard nothing from my BI.

If you turned in your packet on 9/01, and today is 10/03, it's only been one month, not two.

Don't worry, you're in the appox. the same window I was. Keep in mind that no news is good news and prepare yourself for the constant waiting game. I took my written in April and have my home interview on Monday, so figure +/- 6 months of waiting for some sort of call. Be patient and good luck.

usmc 5711 - Home visit on Monday, great job, you're in the home stretch. Have they given you an academy date? I'm in 178 starting 10/14. I believe the next one is Dec. 9.

I took the written in March, so +/- 6 months is right on.

Technically it's RCSD, but everyone in the area refers to it as RSO (Riverside Sheriff's Office)

It's really RSD Riverside Sheriffs Department just like LASD is Los Angeles Sheriffs Department. Plus it says join rsd on the website.

woops...that is a typo. I turned in my PHS on 8/1 so it has been two months. My bad. thanks for the input
