75th Ranger Regiment Soldier awarded Silver Star (http://news.soc.mil/releases/News%20Archive/2008/September/080927-01.html)

A Fort Lewis soldier will be awarded the coveted Silver Star medal for extraordinary heroism in a ceremony at the post today.

During a raid targeting enemy insurgents in Iraq in April, Spc. Joseph Gibson engaged in hand-to-hand combat with an armed terrorist who was wearing an explosive suicide vest, according to the award citation.

That takes some cahones! I'm near Ft. Lewis, odd that it didn't make it on the news, let a soldier screw up or get accused of wrong doing and it gets plenty of airplay. I wonder if the media is biased? :rolleyes:

I wonder what the suicide bomber was think one second before he got killed, "Holy ****te, time to meet my virgins" and like Robin Williams once said, what if it was 72 virginians, who just start kicking the living Sh&* out of them. hahah
