I need some advise on how to go about obtaining a guard card for a LE. How much does it cost? Can I do the class on-line?

Go to BSIS for all the Info that you need. You will need to take class room training required by the state as well as a livescan before you can get a guard card. There are no online classes available for this. The permit will run about $100.00. You should be able to find a school in the phone book in your area. If not PM me and I'll see what I can find.

I know of a few BSIS regulated guard training facility's. Were are you located, I know of one in Ontario, Torrance, and Burbank. I'm sure there are more, but these have great reputations. All run by retired law enforcement.

I called the place showed them my ID filled out some paper, paid them got the car in the mail. You have to photo copy your ID and badge mail in some paperwork and apply to the state to get a firearm permit.
