Quick question about NYPD hiring. I took Exam 6010 in 2006, took medical, and agility soon thereafter. I met my investigator once and then decided, due to low salary at the time, to wait for new contract negotiations.
My question is this: How long does this info stay on file? Will I have to fill out a new personal history statement? Do they eventually just throw out these packets? The day I filled it out was a nightmare, it took about 8 hours and most questions had to be done from memory.(dates, addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, etc.) If I do have to fill out a new one, will it be compared with the old one? I will obviously be more prepared this time, but like I said, I was just winging a lot of the answers the first time around.
Thanks for reading guys and girls! Hope you can help ease my mind!

Your test is good but you will probably have to re-do everything over again, as for your paperwork that too. In the very least you will have to update it but i can see them asking you rewrite everything and also you will have to get a recent driver's abstract, recent SS report, pretty much gonna have to re-do all the papwork again. My friend has been a cadet for about a year, he doesnt' have to do some parts of the process but he had to fill out this whole booklet all over again.
