This might ought to be posted under training, but I have a question.

Where can I find (Does anyone know) statistics regarding the physical distances between police and suspects in police involved shootings?

I know that the overwhelming majority are within 7 yards, but for what I am doing, I would like to quote actual numbers.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I googled "officer involved shooting statistics" and came up with a number of articles:

All police shooting stats are here.

BTW, 90% of all police shootings are within 5 feet and over in 3 seconds. And police will miss more than connect.

Thus, we train, train, practice, and train. For an entire career.

For those 3 seconds in our lives we hope never come.
